Summer School enrollment officially open in Joplin

It’s that time again: Summer School enrollment is officially open in Joplin.

Barring any spikes in local COVID cases, the Joplin R-VIII system will begin Summer School on June 1. It will run through July 1st.

The school is planning for smaller class sizes, keeping classroom groups consistent so as to avoid co-mingling of groups with many other safety protocols in place.

Summer School bus transportation will not be provided this summer with the exception of special education students that require transportation for their extended school year services.

Enrollment will be open on the district’s website from now until Friday, May 22.
