A fatal motorcycle accident in Newton County

A motorcycle accident at around 5pm last night just north of Racine was fatal.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells News Talk KZRG that 28-year-old Cody O’Neill was north on Highway 86 in Newton County when he crossed the center line and hit a truck driven by 50-year-old James Ryan that was headed south.

Troopers say that the 2018 Honda Motorcycle O’Neill was driving hit the GMC pick-up truck at an angle. Ryan was not injured but his truck had severe damage.

Unfortunately, O’Neill was later pronounced dead by the Newton County Coroner.
