Horrible accident near St. Louis kills a family of five.

A family of five, including two children is dead after a crash in north St. Louis County.

The horrific crash happened late Saturday afternoon on Lucas and Hunt Road, just north of West Florissant.

According to the investigation the family was traveling southbound when their vehicle went off the right and traveled into northbound traffic lanes. That’s when it overturned after it was rear-ended by another vehicle.

Those who were killed have been identified as 22-year-old Travon Nelson, 22-year-old Kristy Monroe, along with their children Kayniah and Travon Jr., both under the age of 3, as well as 16-year-old Samuel Nelson, Travon’s brother.

The driver of the other vehicle was seriously injured. Reporting in north St. Louis County, I’m Jill Enders.
