The iconic Route-66 is open for business

The Route-66 Drive in opened in 1949. That was 71-years ago. This year their normal opening day came, and went because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Well, starting tonight, its ShowTime again and business as usual, for the most part that is.

The gates open at 7 and show time is at 840 Friday through Sunday. And tonight’s entertainment is “Doolittle’ staring Robert Downey Jr. followed by “I Still Believe”

There will, however, be some social distancing guidelines that include the closing of the playground, and limitations on the number of people at the snack bar or in the restroom. Plus you’ll need to walk up to the ticket window to pay before driving in. A small price for a little bit of normal.
