Triumph food employee dies from the coronavirus
An employee of a Missouri pork plant where hundreds of workers tested positive for the coronavirus has died.
The city of St. Joseph announced the death as a result of the virus Wednesday night.
The name of the man, a Buchanan County resident in his 40s, was not released.
A news release from the city said the man had underlying health conditions. The man was an employee at Triumph Foods in St. Joseph. The Pork plant has had 412 employees and contract workers test positive.
This is the second death in the county. The first death was an inmate at the prison in St Joe.
