Help for media during Covid-19
U-S Senator Roy Blunt and a bipartisan group of colleagues are seeking federal aid for local media covering COVID-19.
Blunt led a letter, along with other US Senators, to the Office of Management and Budget requesting financial relief to local Radio and Television stations, and newspapers during the coronavirus pandemic.
The letter stated that local reporting and information is critical at this time. Blunt and the other Senators also urged Federal Agencies to buy advertising to help increase local revenues.
Senators also want local media to qualify for the Federal Small Business Associations Paycheck Protect Plan
