Jasper County deputies investigate Saturday night stabbings
14-year-old in custody
Authorities in Jasper County are investigating two stabbings that took place Saturday night.
According to a news release from the Jasper County Sheriff’s office, headed “1st Degree Assault,” deputies were called to 8711 County Road 40 in Reeds at 10:42 p.m. Saturday night in reference to a stabbing with injuries.
When officers arrived they located a 54-year-old male and 54-year-old female, both with with serious injuries.
The man and woman were transported to local hospitals for treatment. They are expected to make a full recovery.
Also, a 14-year-old juvenile male was taken into custody and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center in Joplin.
