Police say Joplin is doing great at staying home
Governor Parsons issued a State Wide “Stay-at-home” order that went into effect Sunday night at midnight.
News Talk KZRG spoke to Captain Nick Jimenez of the Joplin police department to get his opinion on how Joplin is doing, so far, in our efforts to stop the CaronaVirus. Nick says “We believe the city is doing a great job at social distancing.” Jimenez also thanked the community for the outpouring of support. He says businesses and community groups are helping with the needs of the people and the police department. Nick Goes on to say “we will get through this together. Like we always do”
The Order is in place until April the 24th. Anyone who is not preforming an essential job or task must stay at home. Plus, maintain a separation of at least 6 feet and no more then ten people in a group.
