Galena man facing child sex crime charges

A man from Galena is facing child sex crime charges. Read the full press release below:

As a result of an investigation into alleged sexual misconduct with a child; On Friday April 3, 2020, Officers with the Galena Police Department served an arrest warrant at 2125 S. Main St in Galena.

73-Year-old Carl E. Combs of the residence was taken into custody and transported to the Cherokee County Jail. Combs is Charged through the Cherokee County District Court with four (4) counts of Aggravated Indecent Liberties with a Child.

He is being held on a $100,000 bond
