Missouri Considering Locations For Temporary Hospitals
A major downtown St. Louis venue is being considered for an overflow hospital amid the pandemic.
Governor Mike Parson says the Missouri National Guard is considering using America’s Center as an overflow hospital to treat patients with COVID-19. The Guard has been working since last week to determine possible sites. St. Louis City and St. Louis County have been the hardest areas in the state for confirmed Conronavirus cases.
Other potential sites include the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, the Hearnes Center in Columbia, the Show-Me Center in Cape Girardeau, and the Hammons Student Center and JQH Arena in Springfield, and Missouri Southern’s Leggett and Platt Athletic Center in Joplin.
