Jasper County Health Department confirms two more COVID-19 cases
Two more people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Jasper County.
That means the total number of cases in the County stands at five as of Sunday morning.
That figure increased after the Jasper County Health Department confirmed two additional positive cases of COVID-19 were being tracked over the weekend.
Of those two new cases, one is a person over the age of 70 who lives in the northwest part of the county.
The other is someone who had contact with a person who previously tested positive.
The total of five includes the number of cases in Jasper County outside the City of Joplin added to the total number of cases inside Joplin.
At this time, the Jasper County Health Department is making contact with anyone they can find who has been in contact with the people who have tested positive.
Newton County is reporting four cases of COVID-19.
