Three cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Jasper County

There are now three cases of COVID-19 in Jasper County. The county health department reporting its second case of the virus outside the city limits of Joplin, with one being handled by Joplin’s health department. Officials say it’s a patient in their 50’s who recently traveled internationally.

There are now four confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Newton County. Officials say the newest case is travel-related and that the patient has been in self-quarantine since returning home.
