Oklahoma Highway Patrol Officer Shooting

A call about a shooting and a possible homicide in Fairland led to a stand-off and a shoot-out with law enforcement.

On Tuesday night, Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Ottawa County deputies exchanged gun fire with a suspect at a trailer on Gray’s Farm Road. A trooper was hit in the eye with shrapnel.

The OSBI is now investigating the homicide.
