Target Giving Raises, Donating To Relief Efforts
Target is spending $300 million on pay raises, sick leave, and donating $10 million to Coronavirus causes.
That means a $2 an hour raise for its 300,000-plus workers who have been working around the clock to restock empty shelves and fulfill never-ending online orders.
In addition, pregnant employees and those over 65 or who have underlying health risks and don’t feel comfortable working can receive 30 days of paid leave.
Target CEO Brian Cornell said in a statement they are giving $10 million toward Coronavirus relief efforts, including $1 million to a Target employee fund to assist workers affected by Covid-19.
