Salvation Army store temporarily closed due to pandemic
Feeding program continues . . . .
Due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic, the Salvation Army Family Store of Joplin will be temporarily closed. The store is scheduled to re-open Wednesday, April 1st.
“Our concern is for our customers, staff and our community,” a news release from the Salvation Army stated. “During this time, we will sanitize and clean the store to protect the safety of our customers.”
Donations will continue to be accepted at the drop-off area at the back of the store.
Despite the closure, the Army will continue to serve residents in crisis.
The feeding program will be serving “to-go boxes” Monday-Friday at 8 a.m. for breakfast and Monday-Saturday at 12 noon for lunch.
The availability of Sunday meals is still to be determined.
Families in crisis that need to see a case worker should call and make an appointment with Evelyn at 417-624-4528 ext. 104.
No vouchers will be given due to the store being closed until April 1.
