Search Warrant on Riverton Home Leads to Drug Seizure

Despite the Coronavirus hysteria, the police are still staying busy since criminals don’t seem to take a day off.

Cherokee County Sheriff’s Deputies located and arrested a wanted man at his home in Riverton late Monday night.

During the course of the arrest, evidence of other criminal activity was discovered, leading investigators to seek and obtain a search warrant for the house, located at 6901 Southeast Highway 66.

Suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia was located and seized during the search.

The suspect, 31-year-old Guy Allen Hibdon, was arrested and transported to the Cherokee County Jail where he is being held without bond on allegations of Possessing Methamphetamine, Possessing Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and an outstanding warrant for a previous drug related case.
