MoDOT On Pothole Patrol
As the weather begins to warm up, the Missouri Department of Transportation is out in force repairing potholes created over the winter.
Around 300 crews will focus on repairs, after fixing over 700,000 potholes last year on Missouri’s 34,000 miles of roads, costing taxpayers $17 million dollars.
A transportation spokesman says it’s important to slow down and to properly inflate your tires, as over- and under-inflated tires have a higher tendency to pop when you run over a pothole.
If you see a pothole that needs fixed you can contact the Department online or by phone: 1-888-ASK MODOT (275-6636).
