UMKC Basketball Team Cancels Over Coronavirus

The Coronavirus is causing one Missouri basketball team to cancel an upcoming game.

The UMKC men’s basketball team is canceling their trip to Seattle on Saturday over concerns for Coronavirus. The latest has 28 in the state of Washington diagnosed with Coronavirus, ten deaths- mostly residents of a nursing home.

UMKC AD Dr. Brandon Martin says “It is imperative for us to be proactive in regards to the safety of our student-athletes and men’s basketball program.”

At this point, these are the only three men’s Division I games that have been canceled.
