Alabama Man Sentenced For Driving To MO For Sex With Teen

A middle-age man from Alabama is going to prison after meeting up with a teenage girl from Kansas City for sex on two occasions. 46-year-old James Reese Vance, convicted of enticing a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity, was sentenced to 10 years in prison without parole, plus a decade and a half of supervised release. Vance will be required to register as a sex offender.

Vance admitted in October 2019 that he met the 16-year-old girl on Game of War- an online game. They started talking over the phone and emailing one another. Vance then drove to Kansas City in April 2017, and gave the girl a diamond ring and promised to marry her when she turned 18.

He was busted when the teen’s father discovered the emails between the two and called the police.
