Lions take on cancer

Every three minutes someone is diagnosed with a life-threatening blood cancer.

The MSSU Football Team is doing what they can to tackle life-threatening blood cancers and you can help.

The Lions have teamed up with Be The Match to help save lives by recruiting potential marrow donors. Itโ€™s all happening today and tomorrow (March 4-5, 2020) from 11:00am to 3:00pm on the Missouri Southern State University Campus at The Oval.

The process is painless and consists of a health history form and giving a swab of cheek cells. Plus it only takes a few minutes to complete.

Leukemia, lymphoma and some other life-threatening blood cancers can be saved, but in many cases finding the match is the problem. Be The Match connects patients with their donor match for a life-saving marrow or umbilical cord blood transplant. You could be the match and save a life today.
