Beware of automated call utility bill scam

If you’ve received a demanding call from someone saying they’re from Liberty Utilities lately, it could be a scam!

There have been reports people receiving automated calls threatening disconnection.

Liberty’s Kelli Price says the company always provides written notice of late bills, rather than just a phone call.

She also says the utility never demands immediate payment of payment with gift cards – something generally associated with scams.
