Weapons Found Outside Carthage High School

UPDATE: Carthage Police confirm that the weapons were two firearms. Police would not say what type of guns they were or if they were loaded. The first gun was found by school staff laying in the roadway near the High School. The second gun was found in close proximity.

The Carthage Police Department is investigating two weapons found outside, at Carthage High School Monday night. Police aren’t sure how long the weapons have been there and the investigation is ongoing.

Carthage Police is working diligently with Carthage R9 staff at all of the schools. Police do not feel there is a concern for safety and News Talk KZRG will bring you an update if those circumstances change.
