Galena man arrested after allegedly pulling a knife on couple outside Joplin courthouse

A man from Galena is facing several charges after allegedly pulling a knife on a couple in what appears to be an argument over a parking spot. Read the full press release below:

On 2/18/2020 at approximately 1:30 PM, a road rage incident occurred at the Joplin Courthouse parking lot, 605 East Pearl Street.

Robby McCumber, 64 years of old of Galena, Kansas, got into an altercation with a male and female occupant of a car, over a parking spot on the courthouse parking lot. When the male and female headed towards the courthouse McCumber followed them and pulled a knife.

A local attorney was in the process of leaving the lot witnessed the incident and jumped into action holding McCumber at gun point until courthouse security was able to take him into custody.
