Injured eagle found in Barton County

The Barton County Sheriff’s Office turned out to be the “wind beneath” an injured eagle’s wings on Saturday.

A report came in about an injured eagle around SE 20th Road and 50th Lane, near Iantha.

Barton County Conservation Agent Scott Brown took the eagle to a local veterinarian for treatment.

Bald eagles have more than 150 active nests in Missouri and they spend their winter at many locations throughout the state, making Missouri one of the leading states for wintering eagles.
