Names Released In Carl Junction Shooting

A fight between two brothers led to a shooting at a home near Carl Junction Thursday afternoon.

Jasper County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a home at 10487 County Rd. 270 in reference to a person that had been shot just before 3:30 p.m. Officials say during the altercation, 21-year-old Brandon Garcia was shot in the right hip area by his older brother, 23-year-old Brent Garcia. Brandon is in stable condition.

They both live at the home. Brent has not been arrested.

The investigation is ongoing.
