Bloomberg for President campaign to visit Sunday
The Mike Bloomberg for President campaign will be rolling into Joplin this Sunday, Feb. 9.
The Democrat’s team will stop at 110 S. Main at 3:30 p.m.
Mayor Greg Fischer of Louisville, Kentucky will visit the city to talk about Bloomberg’s campaign and invite others to help build momentum for it in Missouri.
The 77-year-old Bloomberg was Mayor of New York City from 2002 to 2013.
Bloomberg grew up in Medford, Mass. and graduated from John Hopkins University and Harvard Business College. Prior to entering politics he worked for Salomon Brothers.
in 1981, he put his energies into Bloomberg, L.P., a global financial services, software and mass media company that bears his name, and is known for its Bloomberg Terminal, a computer software system providing financial data widely used in the global financial services industry. He spent the next twenty years as its chairman and CEO.
As of November 2019, this made him the ninth-richest person in the United States and the 14th-richest person in the world. His net worth is estimated at $58 billion.
