Two Arrested In Stolen Truck

Two men from Arkansas were arrested in Jasper County after trying flee from deputies in a stolen truck. Deputies spotted the truck near LaRussell, which was reported stolen out of Bentonville. Spike strips were deployed and stopped the truck at Elm and County Road 110.

42-year-old Lyle White of Bella Vista and 28-year-old Tyler James Samples of Rogers were arrested without incident.

Stolen mail from Carthage and a white powdery substance was also found inside the truck.

White is facing charges of first degree tampering with a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, and fugitive from justice for crossing state lines.

Samples is facing a charge of tampering with a motor vehicle in the second degree.
