Alex Holden Found Dead

The son of two prominent Green County judges has been found dead after he went missing on New Year’s Eve.

25-year-old Alex Holden of Springfield was living in Sacramento when he went for a walk following a ‘heated discussion’ with his live-in girlfriend around 2:30 in the morning.

The 25-year-old Springfield native is the son of Greene County judges Calvin Holden and Margaret Palmietto.

Judge Calvin Holden confirmed the news through a Facebook post.He described his son as a “great, caring, compassionate person” but provided no details on his death.

Investigators say there appears to be no foul play. Holden’s body was found along the American River near State Highway 160.

Alex is also the nephew of former Gov. Bob Holden.
