Carthage man found guilty of 2016 murder

A jury has found a man from Carthage guilty of first-degree murder. 62-year-old Ricky Marchbanks is accused of fatally shooting 38-year-old Jeremy Neeper back in 2016 on the east side of Carthage. Police say it stemmed from an argument between the two neighbors. Marchbanks had claimed it was in self-defense. He now faces life in prison without parole.
