Duquesne Liquor Store Robber Identified

The man that knocked over the Duquesne Smokes and Liquor Store Tuesday night at knife point has been identified at Brett England of Joplin.

England was busted after Duquesne Police performed a pedestrian check on Walnut Ridge. England ran from the officer. He was then sniffed out hiding in the bushes by a Joplin K9. He told officers he was “just taking a nap”. England was also found in possession of a bag of loose cash containing $723 and two cartons of cigarettes.

He’s sitting in the Joplin City Jail, charged with armed criminal action, first degree robbery, and resisting arrest.
