Suspect Quickly Nabbed In Duquesne Liquor Store Robbery

It was a terrifying night for the clerk at the Duquesne Smokes and Liquor store at 3702 East 7th Street late Tuesday night.

Just before 9 o’clock, a man came into the store, pulled out a knife, and then demanded all the cash in the register.

The suspect ran on foot, escaping from police, but not for long. KZRG’s Rob Rauch spoke with Duquesne Police Chief Tommy Kitch, who says the suspect was quickly apprehended and is sitting in the Joplin City Jail awaiting charges.

The suspect’s name has not yet been released.
