Pittsburg woman appointed to Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board
Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly has appointed Johnna Norton of Pittsburg to the state Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board.
Norton is the executive director at the Mt. Carmel Foundation in Pittsburg.
The mission of the board is to protect the public’s health, safety and welfare from unlawful or unprofessional practitioners.
“The members of the Board have a great responsibility in ensuring the well-being of Kansans,” Kelly said. “I have no doubt these appointees will serve dutifully.”
Also appointed were: David Anderson, director of clinical programs at High Plains Mental Health Center; Mary Jones, CEO of the Mental Health Association of South Central Kansas; Andrea Perdomo-Morales, chief program officer at Vibrant Health Wyandotte;and Glen Steele, professor in the University of Kansas Clinical Child Psychology Program.
