Minimum Wage Increased In Missouri
Missouri’s minimum wage rate has officially increased again.
On New Year’s Day, wages went up by 85-cents to $9.45 an hour. Employees that work for tips also have to total at least the same hourly wage. The law only applies to private employers – not government workers.
Missourian’s approved the Proposition B pay hike at the ballot box in November 2018. It’s part of a plan that will raise the minimum wage by 85 cents an hour each year until it reaches $12 an hour in 2023.
In January 2019, wages went up from $7.85 an hour to $8.60.
