Another suspect arrested with counterfeit money at Joplin motel

A third suspect has been arrested for allegedly having counterfeit cash in a Joplin motel. Read the full press release from Carthage Police below:

On 12/03/2019 Detectives with the Carthage Police Department went to the Economy Inn and Suites 1700 W. 30th St. in Joplin, looking for a stolen vehicle, counterfeit money and the subject who stole the vehicle using counterfeit money named Kyle Metz. With the assistance of the Joplin Police Department, Kyle Metz was located and arrested. More counterfeit money was located with him and the stolen vehicle was recovered at another location.

The Joplin Police Department was able to take the case even further which ended up in the arrest of Gary Long and Michele Fetters at the same location along with the recovery of more counterfeit money and counterfeiting equipment.

Kyle was arrested by the Carthage Detectives and charged with Stealing a Motor Vehicle, Forgery, Possession of Methamphetamine and Methamphetamine Paraphernalia. He is currently being held in the Jasper County Jail on a Jasper County warrant with no bond.
