Springfield Man Caught Masturbating In Walmart; Not The First Time

A serial public masturbator was caught again, for the 13th time, on Sunday. This time, 49-year-old Bobby Gene Green was caught committing the act while walking through the aisles of the Walmart store on North Kansas Expressway in Springfield.

Security guards saw Green sneaking behind women with his genitals exposed through the zipper of his pants at least five times before police could get there and apprehend him. He was still masturbating when police arrived. When police asked what he was doing, he responded, “The same thing I always do. It’s a like a drug I think about, and then I do it.”

Green, a registered sex offender, had just been released from prison for the same offense three months prior following a 2017 conviction. He has 13 previous convictions for sexual misconduct.

Green was previously banned from the same Walmart store for exposing himself to a child in 2013.

He was charged on Monday with first-degree burglary and sexual misconduct, which could carry a life sentence.
