Final Four To Interview With City Council For Joplin City Manager Job

Four candidates are vying for a $150,000+ salary after making the cut for the Joplin City Manager job. The applicants will interview with the city council and meet the public in early December. There were initially 26 applicants up for consideration after the job was posted following Sam Anselm’s resignation in March. A consulting firm hired by the city narrowed the list to eight based on citizen and council input. Last Monday, the Council cut that list in half after reviewing video submissions by the selected eight. Their names have not yet been released.
