Oklahoma Man Sentenced For Road-Tripping With Dead Wife

A 70-year-old man from Sand Springs, Oklahoma will spend the next 15 days in jail in Arizona after he was turned in by a fast food worker in May- horrified at the sight of his wife’s naked, dead body in the front seat of his car when he went through the restaurant’s drive-thru in Elroy.

Rodney Puckett told police they were on a road trip to California when his 74-year-old wife Linda died overnight at a hotel in El Paso.

Puckett also was sentenced to three years of supervised probation.

He’s already served more than 180 days in jail and is scheduled to be released Nov. 23.

The medical examiner ruled Linda Puckett died from heart disease.
