Freeman expands WorkSTEPS program to Neosho
Freeman Health System cut the ribbon on the new Freeman WorkSTEPS facility in Neosho today.
Ryan Collier, Director of Rehabilitation Services at Freeman Neosho, says local companies send potential employees to the Worksteps facility.
“We do a head to toe screen on them,” Collier says. “We also do some lifting techniques.”
But Collier says it doesn’t stop there:
“We also go into the employee’s working area. We measure the tasks that a prospective an employee will need to do and then we simulate that here in the clinic. ”
Collier says Worksteps evaluations can help companies decrease accident rates, reduce lost time, lower health care costs and improve employee retention.
Post-offer, fit-for-duty and return-to-work programs are also available.
Larry Feeler, WorkSTEPS founder and CEO, spoke at the ribbon cutting.
WorkSTEPS is located at 204 N. Lincoln in Neosho.
