30 Year Old Cold Case Re-Opened In Lawrence County

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in solving the mystery of a 30+ year old cold case.

In the late 80’s, some kids were playing in the woods on Farm Road 2210 between Farm Road 1127 and Farm Road 1120, north of Verona when they found a skull they thought might have been human.

They told one of their parents about it, who told the kids to throw it back where they’d found it, so the skull was tossed out in the weeds.

Those kids have grown-up, and moved away and since then many other families have lived in the area over the years.

Authorities are hoping you have some information, or maybe even have the skull, or a skull, not knowing where it came from, and wouldn’t mind having it inspected.
