Liberty Utilities to cut ribbon for new Baxter Service Center

Liberty Utilities will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new Baxter Springs Service Center at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at 901 W. 5th St. in Baxter Springs.

This new service center will house fleet vehicles and line equipment, meet new code requirements, and provide work space for approximately 20 employees. The previous service center in Baxter Springs, Kansas, located at 905 Ottawa Road, was built in the early 1960s.

In addition to the added space, the new service center is in a convenient location with quick access to materials and equipment, which will help crews respond to service calls and outages quickly and more efficiently.

Jeff Westfall, Central Region Director of Transmission & Distribution Operations for Liberty says, “We are all excited to open this new service center. Our crews are looking forward to occupying the new space and using it to keep power safe and reliable for our customers.”
