Webb City man arrested for child sex crimes
A man from Webb City is facing sex crimes against minors. Read the full press release below:
Following an investigation by the Jasper County Detective Division, which began in May of this year, charges were submitted to the Jasper County Prosecuting Attorneys office seeking criminal charges against 64 yr. old Daniel Chavez of Webb City.
During the investigation three victims were identified, with multiple incidents, that occurred at multiple locations, within Jasper County between 2006 and 2015. The criminal charges that were sought are in accordance to Missouri state statute at the time of the offenses.
On 10-04-19, Chavez was arrested by the U.S. Marshals, for the active warrant.
Four counts of Child Molestation, (per statute that was in place from 2006-2014)
Four counts of statutory sodomy 1st, (per statute that was in place from 2006-2014)
Two counts furnishing pornography to a minor, (per statute that was in place from 2009-2014)
Chavez is currently in custody at the Jasper County Detention Center on a no bond
warrant.
