Jasper County Deputies Hosting Fun, Family Friendly Fundraiser

The Christmas season will be here before you know it! It’s heart breaking to think about how many families can’t afford gifts. That’s why the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a big, family-friendly dinner this Friday night as a fundraiser for their Shop With A Deputy program. Lt. Alvin Peavler has the details.

“Listen to some music, eat some food, do the pumpkin carving, bounce house for kids, the silent auction, and just come out and have a good time.”

It’s starts at 6 o’clock on the southside of the Carthage Courthouse lawn at 302 S. Main St. in Carthage. You’ll want to bring a lawn chair. Dinner is $10, provided by Springfield Grocer Co. You’ll enjoy live music by Vic Vaughn and Souled Out. The kiddos can carve a pumpkin, jump in the bounce house, and parents will have plenty of great items to bid on in the silent auction.

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office provides gifts for 100 kids with their Shop with a Deputy program.
