Family Of Fallen Officer Sues 911 Dispatch Center
The family of a fallen Clinton, MO police officer are suing the 911 center that dispatched Officer Christopher Ryan Morton to the wrong address where he was ultimately killed. Three other officers are joining in on the suit.
In March 2018 Morton was sent to a home about 15 miles away from where the call originated. The man at the house shot and killed Morton while wounding two other officers, including one who is among the plaintiffs. The gunman was later found dead inside the home.
Attorneys for the Henry County 911 center have denied the allegations of negligence.
