Woman Chased by Mountain Lion in Allen County

A woman in Allen County reported to the sheriff’s office that she was chased by a mountain lion while riding her bike on the Southwind Rail Trail.

The reported long-tailed cat left the trail headed west into the brush near the old brickyard before officers could arrive. The sheriff says they’ve also had reports of bobcats in the area.

They reported the mountain lion sighting to the Kansas Wildlife, Parks & Tourism – Game Wardens and the local trail manager.
