A review is underway in the death of Kadin Roberts-Day
Still a lot of questions concerning the tragic death of a Joplin High School football player.
16-year-old Kadin Roberts-Day, a sophomore, collapsed during practice inside Kaminsky Gym Wednesday. The Jasper County Coroner says there’s nothing to indicate it was anything other than natural causes.
The corner also states that there’s no indication of over exertion, but rather asthma and cardiac arrest may be the cause.
A toxicology report will be reviewed, as well as a review of Kadin’s medical records before making any final conclusions, but there isn’t a cause for an autopsy according to County Coroner Rob Chappel.
Roberts-Day started to show signs of distress around 5:30 p.m. He was taken to a hospital, but medical personnel could not revive him.
