Parsons Temporarily Move Out Of Governor’s Mansion
The Parsons are moving out of the Governor’s Mansion in Jefferson City, but it’s for a good reason.
A $3.8 million renovation is underway, and should be done next month, but to keep the project on track, the Governor and First Lady needed to be out of the way. They’re temporarily living on the National Guard Base.
First Lady Teresa Parson says it’s a further drive for her husband, but they don’t mind.
“It’s the convenience because the Governor could travel back and forth much quicker. It’s a little further distance to come out here, but it’s quiet out here. We like the atmosphere.”
Most of the upgrades involve the HVAC, electrical and fire alarm systems.
