Armed Robber Turns Himself In
He’s alive, but he’s no longer on the run.
Aaron Hutton, an armed robbery suspect in Iola, turned himself in Wednesday morning just before 8 a.m. He’s facing charges in Allen County of Aggravated Robbery, Kidnapping, Theft by Threat and Obstructing apprehension of Prosecution according to a post on the Iola PD’s Facebook page.
Hutton is accused of robbing Advance America, a payday loan store, last Wednesday. Authorities located the stolen car he was driving abandoned near a trail in Humboldt, then tracked him to his bother’s house Tuesday. Police then lost sight of him after he jumped into the Neosho River and feared he didn’t resurface.
