Gun and Drugs Confiscated In Riverton
A gun and drugs confiscated during a search of a Riverton home Sunday.
28-year-old Carl Michael Lewis of Riverton had been on the Cherokee County Sheriff’s radar for a while now. They executed a search warrant at his home in the 7300 block of Southeast 70th.
During the course of the search, suspected narcotics were located and seized. Lewis, who was armed with a handgun, was arrested and taken into custody.
Lewis was transported to the Cherokee County Jail, where he is being held in lieu of $8,000 bond on allegations of Possessing Meth, Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia and Criminal Use of a Weapon.
“The investigation into suspected criminal activity of those associated with this property, and others in the area, remains ongoing. As part of that investigation, additional charges and arrests are possible,” according to Cherokee County Sheriff David Groves.
