Five Years Later, Mike Brown’s Dad Still Seeking Justice

Five years after 18-year-old Michael Brown was shot and killed by a police officer in Ferguson, his dad, Mike Brown Sr. says he is still pursuing justice for his son.

“As a father, I vowed to protect my children. On August 9, 2014, that wasn’t the case. I could not protect him that day and it breaks my heart. And I am demanding evidence to be analyzed, and accountability to follow.”

A grand jury failed to indict officer Darren Wilson after evidence showed that Brown hit Wilson and scuffled with him over his service weapon before he was shot. Wilson resigned following weeks of riots, protests, and unrest in St. Louis.
