Springfield Woman Killed In Highway 96 Crash

A tragedy on Highway 96. The Highway Patrol says 59-year-old Cindy Cox from Springfield was killed when a pickup truck pulling a trailer full of bricks crossed the center line hitting her SUV Wednesday evening near Carthage. Her passenger, 88-year-old Richard Gustin of Nixa sustained serious injuries. Another car was damaged, but the driver was uninjured as the bricks spilled across the road, hitting 47-year-old Jason Randolph’s car. The pickup driver, 17-year-old Sergio Nevarez-Gutierrez of Neosho was uninjured.
